Families ask us this every week. There is no single right answer, but there are clear signals that point one way or the other.
If your working day starts before seven or ends after six, live-in support removes the transport problem entirely. Larger properties, households with small children and families who travel often tend to settle on live-in arrangements.
Separate accommodation with a private entrance where possible, clear rest days and honest limits on hours. Living on the property does not mean being available all day and all night. Placements fail when that line is blurred.
If you need help two or three days a week, or only during school hours, live-out is cheaper and simpler. It also suits homes with no suitable accommodation.
Some households book a live-out helper five days a week and add a sleep-in arrangement during busy months. We can structure the placement that way from the start.
