Trusty Hands Domestic Helpers is a South African domestic worker placement agency based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and serving families nationwide. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
From clients we collect the name, phone number, email address, suburb and the household details you choose to share when you request a helper. From candidates we collect identity details, contact details, work history, references and the results of background screening.
We use client information to understand your requirements, shortlist suitable candidates and stay in contact during and after a placement. We use candidate information to verify identity, confirm references and match people to positions.
Candidate details are shared with clients considering that candidate for a position. Client requirements are shared with shortlisted candidates so they can decide whether to attend an interview. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Records are kept in secured files and password-protected systems, accessible only to staff who need them. We keep information only for as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.
