These terms apply to placement services provided by Trusty Hands Domestic Helpers to clients across South Africa. Using this website or requesting a placement means you accept them.
Trusty Hands is a placement agency. We interview, reference-check and background-screen candidates, and we introduce suitable people to your household. The employment relationship is between you and the domestic worker you appoint. We are not the employer of the people we place.
We carry out reasonable checks on every candidate, including personal interviews, reference calls to previous employers, identity verification and background screening. We report what those checks find. We cannot guarantee future conduct, and clients are encouraged to interview candidates personally and run a trial period.
Consultations, shortlists and interviews are free. A once-off placement fee is payable when you appoint a candidate introduced by Trusty Hands. The amount is confirmed in writing before you commit and is due on the agreed date.
Where a placement does not work out within the period stated in your placement agreement, we provide replacement support and shortlist again without a further placement fee. Replacement support does not apply where the position, hours or duties change materially from what was agreed.
Clients are responsible for complying with South African employment law, including the national minimum wage for domestic workers, a written employment agreement, UIF registration, leave and safe working conditions. We provide general guidance, not legal advice.
Tell us as soon as possible if you no longer need a placement. Interviews cancelled at short notice waste a candidate's travel money and time, so we ask for reasonable notice.
Trusty Hands is not liable for loss or damage arising from the acts or omissions of a placed domestic worker once employment has begun. Our responsibility is limited to carrying out the screening and matching described here with reasonable care.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Published on 1 September 2026.
